    How it works?

    With these quick and simple steps, Fulfillment by OpenTaste can help eliminate your fulfillment headaches and help you scale your business!

    1. Setup an OpenTaste Seller Account
    2. Create your product listing
    3. Input packing data(items per carton and carton size)
    4. Ship your products to your closest OpenTaste fulfillment center
    5. When a customer orders your products, OpenTaste will then pick, pack and ship the items
    6. You get paid (please refer to the "How can I get paid")

    Pay for only the space you use

    $1.5 per cubic meter, per day. Pay only for the space you use! The total used space will be checked by the system. The minimium charge will be 0.5m3 or $0.75.day

    If you have 100 cartons in th OpenTaste fulfillment center, each carton will be 0.01m3. So, if you sell 20 cartons everyday, the storage cost will be calculated as follows:

    1. First day: 100 x 0.01 x 1.5 = 1.5
    2. Second day: 80 x 0.01 x 1.5 = 1.2
    3. Third day: 60 x 0.01 x 1.5 = 0.9
    4. Fourth day: 40 x 0.01 x 1.5 = 0.6 (charge 0.75 for minimum)
    5. So total you pay 4.35 for the 4 days

    What is the cost?

    Comission as low as 19%

    Standard Comission 25%,

    23% commission when monthly sales ≥ 10,000,

    21% commission when monthly sales ≥ 50,000,

    19% commission when monthly sales ≥ 100,000,

    Picking, packing and delivery: $0.30 per item

    If you sell bundle items (eg. 3 x Soda for $9.99, it will be considered as one item, but you need to pre-pack those 3 items to 1)

    Storage fee: $1.5 per cubic meter, per day

    How can I get paid?

    At the end of the month, you will be able to review and download your statement. All sales of the current month will be available for withdrawal in the middle of the following month. Simply log into your account and click 'Settle all pending to PayNow'.

    Every time you submit the settlement request, we will settle all outstanding statements which have been archived, so that the statements are freezed and no further changes are made. Any adjustments can only be made in the following month statement.

    If you didn't submit the settlement request, the payment will be processed the following month only. You may input your PayNow UEN on My Shop Profile page.

    Listing price

    How to setup promotional price

    You can easily set up promotional prices under the product listing page.
    1. Please click "limited time sale" to expand the setting menu.
    2. Please input promotional price in Promotional Price 1.
    3. Please select the period for your promotion.
    4. When the promotional period ends, the price will return to normal automatically, you don’t need to manually change the selling price.
    5. Please DO NOT change Selling Price if you want the system to bring the price back after the promotional period.

    Sending your items

    1. Create inbound notification
    2. Set the number of cartons per item
    3. Select the date of delivery
    4. Choose the label size
    5. Make sure the label is on every carton

    If you have multiple items, you must list them separately.
    Please limit each carton to 1 item; different items in 1 carton will not be accepted.
    Please make sure measurements of the carton are correct, otherwise the carton will be rejected by our scanner.

    Now, you're ready to ship to our warehouse!
    Your items will begin selling the day after they are received.

    Withdraw Items from OpenTaste

    Please email to otsg@opentaste.sg if you have any items you want to withdraw. We will contat you when the goods are ready to be picked up.

    A one time flat fee $15 will be charged

    About GST

    As OpenTaste is GST registered, thus all goods sold under OpenTaste platform should be charged with GST. Similarly, the sales commission charged to GST and non-GST registered marketplace sellers should be charged with GST. OpenTaste collects the sales, and pays GST to IRAS directly. Fulfilment by OpenTaste is not like other platforms which all sellers fulfil orders on their own. In our case, we provide a mixed basket solution with our items and the others. It is similar to how you sell items to supermarkets and they give IRAS the GST they collected.

    There is no double GST, OpenTaste pays its own GST to IRAS and the GST registered marketplace seller pays its own GST to IRAS.

    Below is the output GST and input GST that should be declared in the seller's GST returns.

    OpenTaste is using the “self-billing” method, thus the statement includes Revenue which OpenTaste can also claim as input GST. Self-billing is an arrangement between a GST-registered supplier and a GST-registered customer in which the customer prepares the supplier’s tax invoice/customer accounting tax invoice and forwards a copy to the supplier.
